Wine Albania- Albania has predominately four wine growing regions: Coastal, Central, Eastern and Highlands.  Albania is a located in eastern Europe between the Adriatic Sea and the Ionic Sea and bordered on the north by Montenegro and Kosovo and on the west by Greece and Macedonia. Albania's mild temperate climate with cool, cloudy and wet winters, hot, clear and dry summers create wines of distinct characteristics.  Albania's wine is known by its distinct sweetness and local grape varieties.  Rakia, is a common Albanian wine thatis produced by distillation of fermented fruit.
